Social Networking

I never realized how much useless time I spend on social networking sites like Facebook without actually gaining any useful knowledge what so ever. Although it is nice to be able to quickly talk to friends and family, the information being posted on some sites is completely and utterly useless. I do however think some sites like Twitter do at least to some degree offer useful knowledge. I am a follower of many big IT companies like Cisco, that I like to read whats new and what is their take on whats happening in the IT world. I guess it all depends on the person and what their outlook on social networking is.
